a little about me…

My name is Kevin, I’m a published, professional photographer based in Newcastle Upon Tyne. I started this journey in 2021 and quickly became obsessed with it, learning at a fast pace, and trying out different types of photography.

I now do paid freelance work, as well as doing photography as a hobby and enjoy having a personal project to work on when I have time.

I’m friendly, passionate, and sensitive, and like to bring these qualities with me into my photography work.

Race Photography

I really enjoy capturing the emotion and drama of the moment, focusing on the runners and the beauty of the locations they’re running in.

I started off by getting experience doing free work for Trail Dog Events. Then, when I was ready, I did occasional paid work and now I’m one of the official photographers for Greener Miles Running.

All my work is edited, I don’t send all the shots straight from camera (as is quite common in this field). I take great pride in my work, and spend time picking out the best shots of each runner, applying pleasing colours etc to present each image at it’s best.

Landscape Photography

Landscape photography is one of the first genres I got into, I soon got excited by capturing the beauty around me in frames and bringing that beauty to life with editing. It quickly gave me a greater appreciation of the countryside in Northumberland and beyond.

Cityscape & Street Photography

I became interested in Cityscapes and Street photography a little later, finding the joy in capturing the beauty of architecture, often at sunrise or sunset, applying what I’d learned from Landscape photography.

Street photography is newer to me, and I’m really enjoying it, you can find examples of both in my galleries.

I’m currently working on a personal project that includes both of these genres, which I’m really hoping to get published.

Events, Products Etc.

I really enjoy capturing people at events, applying what I’ve learned from street photography to capture the spirit of the occasion.

If a brand is involved, I like to put some emphasis on it, and present it well in the setting.

Erdinger used a shot I took at a race for their social media pages, as did The Spanish City in Whitley Bay. It’s something I’d like to do more of.

I also won a competition and was published in the worldwide best selling photography magazine Digital Camera World.
